James Meade is a

classical guitarist from Eastern Kentucky who currently resides in Cincinnati.

 

As an artist, he believes in working to broaden the cultural horizon of his instrument through the arrangement and performance of works from around the world. As an educator, he believes in an equality of opportunity for today’s youth in [music]education regardless of socio-economic position. 

James  has given  concerts throughout the United States, Ecuador and Italy. Recent performance venues include: Cincinnati’s Music Hall, Eastern Kentucky University, Music For All Seasons, Universidad Espíritu Santo in Ecuador, Pikeville University, Christ Church Cathedral, the Cincinnati Art Museum, and the Incontri Chirarristici di Gargnano in Italy.

 

In addition to a wealth of teaching and performing experience, he has attained a Masters of Music Performance at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music with Clare Callahan, a Bachelors of Music Performance at Eastern Kentucky University with Dennis Davis, and a performance certificate at the Incontri Chirarristici di Gargnano in Italy with Oscar Ghiglia.

 

James’ debut album entitled Canción was released in 2015.

 

Since, he’s had many releases all available for purchase on Bandcamp.

 

He is also the founder of NoteAble, a free-of-charge ensemble-based music program in Cincinnati, Ohio. More information can be found at: www.note-able.org
